North Connector

The North Connector Project (Project) consists of the construction of two sections of roadway, referred to as the West End and the East End. The purpose of the Project is to create additional east-west capacity north of Interstate 80 (I-80) for local traffic which currently must use I-80.

Jepson Parkway

The Jepson Parkway Concept Plan calls for a a multi-modal corridor between Suisun City, through Fairfield and into Vacavile that supports transit and linkages between land use and transportation. As part of that project, Suisun City has completed the Walters Road Widening Project and Vacaville has completed the Leisure Town Road Overcrossing.

The Draft Environmental impact Report/Environmental Impact Statement (EIR/EIS) for the Jepson Parkway Project is now available.

• Public Hearing scheduled for June 24, 2008
• Comments are due to the STA by August 6, 2008

Travis Air Force Base Gate Access Improvements

The Travis Air Force Base gate improvements are split
into two projects: North Gate Improvements and South
Gate Improvements.

The South Gate improvements ($3.0 M) will include
widening Peterson Road and adding a third “truck
stacking lane”, which leads to the Travis AFB guard
station, to handle the large number of truck deliveries.

The North Gate improvements ($7.6 M) will include
widening Canon Road from Vanden Road (Jepson
Parkway) to the Travis AFB guard station.
